Asa-i-viata is an Eastern Europe music Quintet as comfortable in proximity acoustic gigs as on big stages. The project was born in 2010 from the meeting between an accordionist and violinist. It has been built on the roads, had many concerts and is inspired by romanian, albanian, hungarian and turkish gypsies.
Drawing in the raw materials of Balkan music (from the Klezmer of Askenazi to the traditional Sevdah of the Southern slavs, through the music of the lautaris Gypsy) the musicians bring by their arrangements a surprising modernity.
The result of this crossover makes Asa-i-viata's music lively and actual. It leaves nobody indifferent and makes you travel from Serbia to Turkey, somewhere between dance, party, escape and poetry...
A new album is coming in 2018.
